LAG-Bornholm

Local Action Group-Bornholm (LAG-Bornholm) exists to strengthen development in the rural areas and fishing villages in a close interaction with the local community. Anyone can join LAG-Bornholm, if they wish to make a difference in driving local trade and business forward, create new jobs or better living conditions on the island.

The local action group is subsidised by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and The European Union. LAG-Bornholm receives an annual subsidy of approx. 4.5 million DKK to support projects for rural development. The board of LAG-Bornholm submits projects that they have found applicable to receive grant to The Ministry of Food Agriculture and Fisheries, who administrates of the rural development program.

LAG-Bornholm
– draws up a strategy for rural development
– takes initative to create new activities and jobs in the area
– offers support and counselling to entrepeneurs and projectholders
– offers information on how to apply for grants
– submits project proposals til The Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries
